Jakarta–Detakpos.com-The government has established roadmap for tackling extreme poverty and targeting based on vulnerability to be implemented from 2021 to 2024.
2021 is the initial targeting with several programs, which are carried out with the PBI JKN program and energy subsidies for 40% poorest population, basic necessities and PIP for 25% poorest, and PKH for 20% poorest, covering 1 million elderly and 100 thousand people with disabilities.
2022 is the adjustment of targets according to the vulnerability and accuracy of social assistance more than 50 percent with the extreme poor target of less than 3%, which is carried out with the PBI JKN program of 80 million people, basic necessities and energy subsidies of 15.6 million KPM, PKH of 8 million KPM, covering 2 million elderly and 500 thousand people with disabilities and the Independent National Social Security Program.
The years of 2023 to 2024 are target adjustments with an accuracy of 70% social assistance, with targets for the extreme poor of 0 to 1%, carried out with the PBI JKN program of 40 million people, PKH and basic necessities of 8 million KPM covering 5 million elderly and 2 million disabled and national social security program with coverage for the entire population.
Furthermore, the government has also established several pillars of intervention. First, improvement of basic services and infrastructure, namely ensuring access to education, health, sanitation, clean water, and decent housing.
Second, development of regional potential, namely improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure, creating job opportunities, and expanding market access for local products.
Third, the integration and digitization of the distribution of social assistance, namely digital and inclusive social assistance for food, education, energy, and social security subsidies.
Fourth is community empowerment, through entrepreneurship SME programs, business training and mentoring and vocational training.(HMS)
